Plain language terms for using Keystone to register a business in Ghana.
The service
Keystone helps you prepare an application to register a sole proprietorship, partnership or company in Ghana. You answer guided questions and upload documents; a lawyer at the firm reviews the application and files it with the Registrar-General on your behalf. The Registrar, not Keystone, decides whether to register your business and issues the certificate.
Fees and payment
You pay one service fee for your structure plus the government fee the Registrar charges, and any add-ons you choose. Every amount is itemised before you pay, and current fees are listed on the pricing page. Payment is by mobile money. We do not begin review until payment is confirmed.
Refunds
If you change your mind before we file, we refund what you paid, less any government fees already paid to the Registrar. Government fees are not refundable once we have filed, and our service fee is not refundable after filing because the work is done.
Express processing
Express is an optional Registrar surcharge. With express the Registrar normally issues your certificate in 1 to 3 working days instead of 5 to 14. These are the Registrar's timelines, so we cannot guarantee them, and express does not shorten the lawyer's review.
Corrections and your responsibilities
You confirm that everything you enter and upload is accurate and that you are authorised to give us the details of every person you list. If the lawyer finds something that needs to change, they ask for the correction in your dashboard and you make it there. Delays caused by incorrect or missing information are not covered by the timelines above.
Name approval
You give us up to three names in order of preference. The Registrar decides which, if any, is approved, and approval is not guaranteed. If none is approved we ask you for more names; this does not count as a refund event.
Limitation of liability
We take care with every application, but we are not responsible for decisions of the Registrar, delays at government offices, or losses that result from information you gave us being wrong. Our liability to you is limited to the service fee you paid for the application concerned.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute.
